Privacy Policy
Effective date: 9 October 2026 · Last updated: 9 October 2026
This policy explains what information PakBank QR ("PakBank QR", "we", "us") collects when you use pakqr.app, how we use it and what choices you have.
1. The short version
- PakBank QR creates payment QR codes. Money never passes through PakBank QR.
- The accounts, QR codes and settings you save in your workspace stay in your browser, on your device.
- Our servers handle only what is needed to sign you in and to answer your support messages.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- You can export your data, reset your workspace, or ask us to delete your account.
2. Information we collect
QR code details you enter. To create a code you enter your account title, bank or wallet, IBAN, and optionally an amount and a payment note. These details are saved in your browser's storage on your device. A payment QR contains your account title, IBAN and amount in readable form, so anyone who has the code can read them. Share a code only with people you want to pay you.
Account information. If you sign in, we process your name, your email address and your account type, plus the details your sign-in method provides: an email address and password (we send a code to verify your email), or Google sign-in, in which case Google shares your name and email address with us. We use them to recognise you when you return.
Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, subject and message, and your phone number if you choose to give it.
Technical information. Like most websites, our servers record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of each request. We use these logs to run and secure the service. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising tools.
Codes you decode. When you upload a QR image or paste a payload into the decoder, it is read in your browser and is not uploaded to our servers. The decoder shows what the code contains. It does not check the account with a bank.
Cookies and browser storage. We use browser storage to keep your saved accounts, QR codes and preferences (such as light or dark theme) on your device, and a sign-in token to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our pages load Google's sign-in service, and Google may set its own cookies under the Google Privacy Policy.
3. What we do not collect
We do not ask for your banking password, PIN, card number or one-time passcodes, and we never need them. We do not receive, hold or see your payments. If anyone claiming to be PakBank QR asks for these details, do not share them and contact us.
4. How we use information
- To provide the website: creating, saving and exporting your codes, and applying print templates.
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To reply to your questions and support requests.
- To keep the service safe, find faults and prevent abuse or fraud.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Service providers who help us run PakBank QR, such as hosting, email delivery and Google, if you choose Google sign-in. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if the law, a court or a government authority requires it, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users or PakBank QR.
- Business change. If PakBank QR is transferred to another owner, your information may move with it, and we will tell you before it is governed by a different policy.
People you share a QR code with can read the details inside it, as explained in section 2.
6. Where your data is stored
Your saved accounts, QR codes and settings live in your browser on your device. Clearing your browser data, switching browsers or using a different device means they will not be there.
Our hosting providers may process data on servers outside Pakistan.
7. Backup files
The backup feature creates a file on your device that contains your saved accounts and QR records in readable form. We do not receive a copy. Keep the file private, because anyone who has it can read your account details.
8. How long we keep information
- Browser data stays on your device until you clear it or use "Reset to Clean State" in Settings.
- Account information is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of your deletion request.
- Support messages are kept for up to 12 months after we resolve them.
- Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
We may keep information longer where the law requires it.
9. Security
PakBank QR is served over HTTPS, and access to our systems is limited to people who need it to run the service. No website or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your device and your backup files, and sign out on shared computers.
10. Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also export your data with the backup feature and clear it at any time with the reset option in Settings. To make a request, email contact@pakqr.app from the address on your account. We may need to confirm it is really you, and we will reply within 30 days.
11. Children
PakBank QR is not directed at people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other sites
PakBank QR may link to other sites, such as our Facebook and Instagram pages or your bank's website. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will also put a notice on the website.
